The Swedish Center for Business and Policy Studies (SNS) carries out policy-related social and economic research, in which leading social scientists participate in interaction with senior executives and officials in the private and public sectors. The aim is to contribute to rational public policy decisions on social and economic issues by means of SNS´s policy reports, publishing and meeting activities.

SNS policy research is dominated by economic and political science topics such as economic policy, labour market issues, and the Swedish welfare state. The research is carried out by social scientists at academic institutions in Sweden and abroad. Each research team is organized by a research director at SNS.

The research directors at SNS are Mr Matz Dahlberg, professor, Uppsala University, Mr Robert Lundmark, associate professor, Luleå Institute of Technology, Mr Olof Petersson, professor, Mr Stefan Sandström, PhLic,  and Mr Arvid Wallgren, MPhil.
