At the Finance Panel: Christian Thimann, special adviser to the EU Commission, former Chairman of the Commission’s High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance.
The High-Level Expert Group last year presented their recommendations for a financial system that supports sustainable investments. The aim was also to identify the steps that financial institutions and supervisors should take to protect the stability of the financial system from risks related to the environment. The European Commission has recently adopted its action plan for sustainable finance on the basis of these recommendations. Christian Thimann will talk about what has been achieved so far and what remains.
