Geopolitical uncertainty and increased trade barriers have placed trade policy high on the political agenda. Tariffs and other trade barriers can create uncertainty in the global economy, disrupt global value chains, and lead to higher prices.

Donaldson has extensive experience studying international trade and has for instance carried out research on market integration. Previously, Donaldson has been co-editor of renowned scientific journals and visiting professor at Stanford University and London School of Economics.
