How are children affected by parental leave and childcare?

Seminar Thu 11 May 2023
time and place

Thursday 11 May 2023, 13:00–14:00
SNS, Jakobsbergsgatan 18, Stockholm. Lunch is served from 12.30.

In several countries, paid parental leave and subsidized childcare have played a crucial role for gender equality on the labor market. But how are children’s long-term development affected by different forms of care? And how much does socio-economic status and the quality of childcare matter?

In a new SNS report, the latest research is compiled on how exposure to early childcare and parental leave affects children.

Jonas Jessen will present the report that he wrote together with Nabanita Datta Gupta. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion.

The seminar will be held in English.
