By using administrative data, Pernilla Andersson Joona is able to follow all individuals having arrived in Sweden as refugees or as a family migrant and having settled in a municipality during the period of 2006–2016.
This report offers new insights into how the relatively large groups of refugees and family migrants are doing: which activities they participate in during their time in the establishment programme, what happens after the establishment programme, when they enter the labour market and in which sectors they get their first job. The report also contains a summary of the results from a study comparing the situation for refugees and family migrants arriving in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
This report is published within the framework of the SNS research project Learnings from Integration.
