Developments in recent years indicate that support for free trade is weakening. How is increased protectionism being manifested? What is the impact of policy changes and trade barriers on the digital economy?

Simon Evenett, professor of international trade and economic development at the University of St. Gallen, shares insights from the Global Trade Alert and the newly launched Digital Policy Alert, a monitor collecting and mapping policy and regulatory changes that affect the digital economy.
