During 2015-2016, Sweden welcomed many asylum-seekers. What effect did this have on the consumption of news about refugees and their situation? What influence can people’s gathering of information have on their attitudes with regards to immigration and policies connected to migration? These questions and many more was discussed during the seminar with Eleonora Freddi, Assistant Professor of Economics at Tilburg University, Jonas Hinnfors, Professor in Political Science at the University of Gothenburg, Johan Lindell, Associate Professor in Media and Communication Studies at Karlstad University and Patrik Vuorio, development strategist in the municipality of Järfälla.
