Alibaba, China’s e-commerce giant, is increasingly impacting countries and economies around the world. Duncan Clark has written a widely praised book on how the English teacher Jack Ma built one of the world’s largest companies, rivaling Walmart and Amazon. On November 29, Clark visits SNS.

Welcome to a conversation on the future of China’s e-commerce sector and the impact of Alibaba globally.

Duncan Clark is founder of the investment advisory firm BDA China. He is an expert on China’s Internet sector, a former consultant with Alibaba and author of the book Alibaba: The House That Jack Ma Built that was released in April.

The conversation will be led by Erik Berglöf, Director of the Institute of Global Affairs at London School of Economics and former Chief Economist of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

This meeting is co-organized with SITE, Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics.
