Roundtable on the role and opportunities for the private sector to deliver on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with Albena Melin from IFC, World Bank Group.

One year after the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the United Nations, Albena Melin will talk on possibilities for business to deliver on the goals, including new forms of collaborations. What initiatives have been taken? What are the challenges and what can individual companies do? What can we expect in the future?

Albena Melin is the Principal Operations Officer in the Thought Leadership Unit at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The unit is leading on IFC’s engagement with the SDG processes, in particular the role of the private sector in mobilizing finance for development. The Unit is helping forge partnerships between business leaders, development partners and governments and its mission is to share insights for greater understanding of private sector solutions to reduce global poverty and create shared prosperity.
