Athanasios Orphanides, former Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus

On June 4, Dr. Athanasios Orphanides will participate in a dinner discussion with a small group of invited decision makers and scholars. He gives his views on the origins of the Cypriot crisis and what the implications will be for Europe and the euro zone.

Dr. Orphanides served as the Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus 2007-2012. He is also former member of the Governing Council of the ECB, and the Board of Governors of the US Federal Reserve System. Dr. Orphanides now holds a position as senior lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management in Boston.

Professor PEHR WISSÉN, Managing Director of SIFR, will chair the discussion.
