China is turning outward. Its companies are rapidly expanding internationally, snapping up international competitors. The financial sector is allowing more foreign ownership and expanding internationally. The Chinese government has launched the negotiations around the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a trillion-dollar infrastructure initiative to stimulate Chinese exports and eventually link China more closely to Europe.
What are China’s intentions with the global expansion and what is the potential impact on the global economy?
