Tid och plats
The private sector is increasingly engaging in sustainable investments and new models are emerging in sustainable development finance. What does the Swedish impact investment market look like? How can we make sure that investments actually deliver positive social, environmental and economic results? Is there a risk of “impact washing”?
Karen Wilson presents the key findings from the recently published OECD report on the role of Social Impact Investment in delivering the Sustainable Development Goals formulated in the UN Agenda 2030. Social Impact Investment is the provision of finance to organisations addressing social or environmental needs with the explicit expectation of measurable social, as well as financial, returns.
Christopher Flensborg, SEB, Tove Larsson, Norrsken Foundation, and Hugo Mörse, Leksell Social Ventures, discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the Swedish sustainable investment market.
The seminar is organised within the framework of SNS new seminar series on sustainability issues, which is funded with support from the government research council Formas.
The seminar will be held in English.
